i got good growth out of mine till it hit 6". at about an inch a month till 5" then 1/2 inch after that. dont know what he is now though had to give him away.
i see you use doromin. mine wouldnt take it as i tried to switch due to him getting rather large for prima pellets.
i used a good pellet for the morning, tetra prima. the most important meal as it has all the essentials in it.
afternoon was algae wafers/gut loaded crickets. alternate days if i had both in or algae wafers if i ran out of crickets.
evening was either frozen bloodworm or frozen cichlid mix (bloodworm, mysis etc).
weekly water changes of 30-50% depending on the food used for the week.

gold saum. even though you cant see the scales so easily the red gives it away. true green terror doesn't have red
Thanks guys, I thought it was a Gold, does anyone have any inkling of the sex. I posted another pic up I know its not great, camera is crap. Anyoune give me some pointers between male and female Gold Saums? Anybody got some pics of for comparison?

Yep I know thanks, anyone have a bash at sexing or can tell me the visible differences between male and female Gold Saums
Now im not sure m8 but i have heard that the sex can be determined on a gt by the anal fin; Blue= male Green=Female but i could hardly tell the color from your pictures but id say it was on the green side m8. but llike i said b4 its wicked hard

Aequidens sp. 'Gold Saum', as already stated true rivulatus have no Orange markings on the caudal and dorsal fins.
Cheers Japes I know that. Is the anal fin sexing blue or green colour right. Just had a look at mine He/She???? has got speckled Green on the fin towards the body BUT Blue markings further along the fin!! It's an IT!
