Time to edit last post ran out--but yeah his lower lip area between the barbels was bruised a little in moving him but seems to be healing up quickly.

his barbells point downwards?

this is my in law's jardini after only a few days puting it in a tank thats got white substrate. he went from very redish looking to this. he was still a noob n didnt even kno what kinda of aro he got at that time. lol

Yeah, although mine doesn't have any of the brown in the fins really. And has been this color pretty much for 2 days in this tank now, with dark colored background and surroundings.

Platinum Jardinis are suppose to stay WHITE in any envrionment. Platinum is leucistic, no pigment thus the white color. It's a genetic mutation.

Honestly, I don't think it's a platinum aro. I see some pinkish tone to it. Hao is right since he owns a silver aro & knows better

I've seen high quality photos of a legit leucistic Jardini, but I don't know where the photos are. I use to collect pictures of rare color morphs of Aros but I lost the folder. :( Also there are 2 types of leucistic. I've only seen one type of leucistic in Jardini and both in Silver Aros.

Well I'm ready to cry. I just spent almost $300 setting up the tank AND flooded my apartment + bought the fish for no real reason, apparently. And I wish I could stab whoever stripped my bike this morning in the neck. Great day.

Think the pink is sort of the light shining through the thinner parts of him.

Either way, looks like I bought a lemon.

Let's just wait & see in a few weeks. Don't cry man, I had worst purchases than u in the past. We learn from our mistakes.
