I have guns, and I hunt.
I have six chidren, aged 23 to 4.
Out of those, 4 are boys, who know their way around guns. Yet they started when they were around 12 years old.
To put a gun in the hands of a 3 year old is plain nonsense. A kid of that age should not be familiar with guns. Should not have access to them, does not even need to know they exist.
The perceived need to have a child of that age "at ease and familar " with guns can only mean that guns, and their keeping, are treated lightly in your household.
She does not need to be familiiarized with them. It is not as if she is going to help you, in a situation, should the need arise.
My 2 cents-

Such an ignorant statement coming from somebody who supposedly supports the right to bear arms. I knew right away that picture would stir controversy, but to accuse somebody of bad parenting, come on now.
