do some research on the fish you want and their needs before you buy them.. it's kinda your own fault you lost the oscar.. google is your friend, spend some time with it..

i would get rid of them faster.

and i would change my signature if i were you until you're ready to house monster fish for life.

yes.. snowflake eels need saltwater. Some people call freshwater moray eels snowflake eels but they are two very different species. Perhaps he bought a freshwater moray and the LFS had it listed as a snowflake eel.

to be fair, it's just a common name...thats why these places should list them by their name (G. tile or E. rhodochlilus) instead of fw moray, fw snowflake, snowflake eel, etc

I completely agree, but I also think when you're purchasing you should ask questions and see what's going on before going blind. That doesn't mean the LFS or wherever is going to give you correct info, but you might have more information than you would by not asking.

sorry to hear about your predicament, but keeping big aggressive fish together in small tanks will always cause a problem.
