maybe he should'nt start threads asking for help if he's not willing to accept it. i think he's just looking for someone to tell him everything is fine. and that he is an awesome monster fish keeper.

I think the point has been made. He has made some mistakes but he's here asking questions...that's the first step. No he hasn't followed the advise he's been given completely but he did say he's working on getting rid of the monster fish that he has in his 55 so that's yet another step.
It's easy for some people to be more and more judgemental of people who are just starting in the hobby and making mistakes but remember, we were all there at one time. Maybe we asked for help and were more receptive, but how many of us, honestly, was just as skeptical in the beginning when people were telling them how much space some of these fish need?
I'll be the first one to say that I did the same thing. I went to a pet store and asked how many jack dempseys I could keep in a 55. When they told me only a pair I thought they were crazy so I went down the road to petsmart and bought all the fish I wanted and they were happy to sell them to me. And the majority of those fish died and that's what it took for me to start doing the research and start stocking my tanks correctly. See I would get rid of the monster fish, If my rents would allow me, they will not let me get rid of all of them at once, they say I paid too much money for them which I have already.
That really sucks...I lost my red fin pickerel to my jack dempsey and tiger oscar both beating the crap out of him.

As far as your parents go, ask them the question I gave you in the other thread. Would they rather you possibly get some trade in value at the LFS or some money by selling them to people with the right tank setup or lose your money completely when the Jag or JD kills them all.
We should be aware by now that the fact is we're dealing with a kid here. How many of us did things as kids we wouldn't think of doing as adults, I think he's been beat up enough. We are all here to learn and help each other. I agree things were done we don't aprove of but if he's willing to listen and learn lets try to help him. I remember last year a very nice young lady joined MFK and some people were pretty rude to her while she was learning, well she turned into a pretty knoweldge fishkeeper, friendly and always ready to help. I say if he's willing to learn lets give him a chance.
