I would just do a little salt and melafix personally. Always works for me... well that and maitaining pristine water conditions.

Try either aquarium salt or melafix
Melafix is good for open wounds and sores clears it up quickly and it's not harmful to other fish so no treatment tank needed just make sure there's plenty of oxygen and water movement when dosing

Okay thanks guys I will hopefully go out tomorrow and get that. HE is settling in now swimming around more looking amazing

It looks like a growth to me. Had something similar occur on one of my jags before. If so it's hard to get rid of.

If it's an injury, waterchanges will do wonders. 25% daily for a week and it will heal.

You got a male! Look at the blue tone on the fins. That's how mine is.

What size tank do you have him in? Is he alone or going to be with tank mates? Remember these guys are supper aggressive and will destroy other fish lol least mine did originally. They grow fangs pretty much haha

Do water changes25% a week or even 2x a week. It helps speed up growth. You will notice when your jag turns adult when it's all dots like a actual jaguar.
