Japan's Dolphin Hunters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its just like people killing sharks, salmon and other marine fishes for food by the thousand each year.. So.. we should be concern about those too?

We have farm that slaughter cows, chicken, pig etc etc.. Those animal will feel pain too.. So.. what should we do? All go vegetarian?

Unless we all disappear, nothing can be done!
You might say its cruelty.. the other side say its for living...
Theres no end to the argument :O

For a little perspective and without taking any sides, Japan has been harvesting dolphins annually for at least 32 years that I know of personally (unsure when they started) and the numbers they take are regulated, the fishing season has a set start/end date and the population has not seemed to diminish(?).

Yes, but slaughtering cows, chickens, and pigs are different because we breed and raise them to be slaughtered. They are not effecting wild populations.

Just because its been going on for 32 years, doesn't mean it isn't right/effecting anything. Global warming wasn't a problem 32 years ago. Or environments are slowly changing, things should be taken into consideration.

lets say ur right about affecting wild population.. so if they are being ban from hunting dolphin anymore. What else can they do to support themselves (what can wildlife protection agency do to ensure they have money to survive)?

so you rather seeing 3000 people goes into starvation or being poor and cant do anything other than let them harvest some dolphin from the ocean? ;)

Its just like telling farmer that they cant farm, fisher cant fish..

When it comes to survival, nothing is cruel, nothing is humane, unless you choose to not to live :D

So you are saying 3,000 people only eat dolphin?

they harvest it, they sell them, for other needs! :D

just like Alaskan "Berling Sea Crab" Fisher, they hunt them, do they only eat crabs to survive? ^^

or California Orange Farmer, do they grow orange and only eat them to survive? :D

same thing for those fisher in Japan :D You'd get the idea! ^^
