Japan's Dolphin Hunters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hmm of course replying "I do." is a series response and is showing my ignorance.

Too me, dolphin hunting isn't right. And I will voice that. It is legal and I understand that, but that doesn't mean I cannot voice my opinion. Calling me ignorant is disrespectful and just goes to show how great of a mod you really are

Huh ? But yes on the latter part of your written blabber.

Please explain how that shows ignorance, since I am obviously ignorant and cannot understand these things, ya know?

I cant explain it to you right now.

Your best recourse at the moment is to steer clear of topics you have no knowledge of, Do a lot of reading and contemplate on things that you do not understand. Do a lot of research.

If you must participate , try to give facts at the moment and not opinion . Maybe one day you will realize whats really going on in discussions like this and understand the pros and cons of the issue.

I have to defend Wes (redtailfool) that evilxyardxgnome you have really bad ethical judgment. and indeed, based on this:

Cows, pigs, chickens, and most fish's reasons of being here is to provide food to a predator. Whether it be a bigger fish or a lion.
you really are quite ignorant of the facts.

you can not argue based on opinion, because in this case, your opinion is telling others that their opinions are wrong... while opinions are not based on fact therefore, can not be right or wrong.

if you want to argue in factual evidence, then you've clearly lost.

perhaps you should read some books on Teleology.

Please explain to me since I am clearly ignorant the reason for cows, pigs, chickens? And don't give me the fact that some religions believe that cows are holy and thats the reason why they are here. Please provide facts since I obviously don't have any of my facts correct.

The difference between using cows pigs chickens and the like as a food source is that we actively replenish the populations, this is not done for dolphins whales or fish (with a select few fish being the exception)

We are all forgetting that some, not all the farmed species reach maturity quite fast. Chickens are laying eggs within six months, we all know what fish can do hence the name of this website, but how long does it take a dolphin to reach sexual maturity? Not as quick as fish and chickens, and they also dont have the luxury of having a ton of babies at one point or another. Taking 20,000 dolphins from the wild "if true" is detrimental to their population. Im not saying the japanese shouldnt eat it, but there are so many alternatives than to massacre worldwide wildlife icons. Whats so taboo about their meat that there cant be another alternative? Rather than spending all that money on fueling ships and repairing nets, why cant they spend that money on goats, chickens, and cows
trout farming etc etc etc......its bad enough we are depleting ocean, forest, and desert habitats by the minute, but now we have to kill their inhabitants too for a taboo meal? Senseless, and I would think some of us here would know better. This all goes along with castrating tigers, shark fins, etc etc etc..... its time we look at the big picture and realize that some of these animals dont have much longer to live if we "the cause" of all this chaos dont find a solution, since in essence as someone stated we are the "supreme" mumbo jumbo earlier in this thread.

I just ate a generic can of tuna that didn't have the word "dolphin" on it (not the can literally, but the contents within the can). It tasted much better than the name brand stuff. Coincidence?
