Don't be ridiculous. 35 years ago was a much different time. We can't make the same mistakes and blame not knowing better. If you don't know the basics of care for a freshwater fish is because you didn't care enough to take the time to do a bit of reading.

I love that some of you would rather target me as a bad guy instead of enforcing proper care of fish.

Your elitist attitude is cold, yet you claim to be so compassionate. I mean you stated that the OP should post more intelligent questions before you grace him with your help- that is absurd.

This forum is for learning, not bashing other people because they don't comply with your extremely high level of fish keeping. Did you not notice that you're the only person who spoke to the OP in such an unforgiving way? Other people have been posting really helpful advice with no pretense. All you are doing is allowing new fish keepers / caregivers of fish an escape goat.

Also sending a message to new comers that its okay to kill fish if your new, don't worry about doing research until something bad happens.

Hello; On occasion someone will post questions prior to getting fish. When that happens I have tried to help if I have knowledge in the area. If it is a saltwater question I leave it alone as I have never kept salt.
However, many times someone posts about problems after they have already put fish into a tank. I try to help them get thru the process. In a more perfect world this would not happen. Many simply do not know what they do not know and cannot make good choices. My guess is many get bad advice from folks at fish shops.
I also imagine that many of the folks who do not happen to go by your rules are not looking for a scapegoat. My guess is they feel bad about the lost fish and as in this case are trying to help the ones remaining alive. They may already feel bad and your harsh words amount to pilling on.

Hello; perhaps you should try to get over yourself. many are not happy when we hear of the loss or suffering of pets, but we do not go to your extreme. You may be disgusted, but your comments are in many ways disgusting to read. Why not join with us who are trying to be helpful?

Very well said, sir. Phillip you should take some of the points this man has made to heart, he's been fish keeping longer than you've been alive. And to speak to his maturity, I flipped on him for no reason one day, but he'll still agree with me if I've made a valid point, as he did in this very thread.

Phillip if you had an ounce of logical intelligence you could stand back and think maybe, just MAYBE if everyone is disagreeing with me- perhaps I'm wrong. But like you said you won't apologize under any circumstance which is very mature.

Hello; I must guess this refers to me even tho you did not bother to name me. Go back to the start of the thread. I believe I was among the first to respond. I also tried to post information in a timely manner with the hope I could get useful pointers to the OP while there was time to be of help. If you made constructive comments designed to help the OP to keep his remaining fish alive, then I missed them.

All of a sudden I'm the one disrespecting my pets? I think I take pretty good care of my pets I don't know. Considering you have no idea what fish I even keep.

I think we all agree that people should do more research first but making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. If you had ever learned anything worth learning you would probably know that already. Instead of forcing your pompous attitude down everybody's throats.

Master fish keeper with the Green Terror in the 75 gallon, who was dumbfounded when he saw it was aggressive to it's tank mate.
