I love PA............Pretty much no laws on Venomous, and for large boids, none that i know of .........(possibly city / township ordinances)..........although with the http://cbs3.com/local/local_story_165234630.html ...............Killer cat eating snake" on the loose......we might be doomed!!!!:nilly: :nilly: :nilly:

PA is one of the places I am considering for a future move. My state is getting too nuts with bans. :irked:

ah well. Cats shouldnt have been outside...

hahahahahahahah!!!!!!

thats why my siamese are indoors..............and i keep arboreals!!!!:D

People should just run check ups on animal keepers like that. It would give the country more jobs and it keeps the wrong owners from having those pets! I am a genius.

Much as I hate to see large reptiles bought by uncaring people...I think a post attempting to garner support for limiting pets based on size/practicality might have received a better response if you hadn't posted it on MONSTER Fish Keepers...

...Just a thought... :D

Theres no reason some of these shouldnt be kept, but then it is ONLYONLYONLY by extrememly experienced keepers, and there should in fact be some kind of regulation or licensing there.

Dwarf caimans, the giant pythons, big fish, small benthic sharks, servals, big turtles, big lizards... All can be very reasonably kept, and sometimes bred, by the experienced keeper. And it isnt exactly rocket science caring for most of them, its just space, money, time, and safety.

The others though... 100% agree.

Shouldn't take away the right for someone to keep them if they want too and can.

agreed. I see no problem requiring licensing for certain animals (provided its doesn't take 2 years and $1k to get through the red tape :D) but I don't believe the government should be telling me what I can and cannot keep.

Bans don't work. Just look at the "war on drugs" or try to find an illegal fish in a California LFS

registration and licensing only give the government a list of legal and well kept animals. Any that are illegal or not kept according to regulation are simply not registered or licensed

Should these animals be kept? Given proper conditions I don't see why not but who is to decide proper conditions?

Hi,I say that not all of the animals mentioned should be kept by most people that are in the hobby but by serious, experienced, people who have time, money and space to raise and keep these animals.
