I do know what you means by pet stores not being law-biding, one of the rescue centres I know of had to get a special permit to take care of abandoned large monitors, snakes, vemonous species and alligators that are restricted by law. Sad affairs... really.
At least here we only got like five or six we are not allowed to keep... and those six guys are obvious. The only stupid thing is that they restricted the Water Monitor, but only listed one of the species -- not the 10+ species of water monitors. Same with the Poison Arrow Frogs... if I remember correctly there are more than one genus of PDFs.
lol...I was thinking the same thing. But Massachusetts is getting just as uptight about large reptiles that we're probably heading in the same direction.davo;922041; said:so your allowed no venemous, no boides, no pythons, no iguanas, no varanus sp., no tegus or crocs. Dude i'd move lol.

These exotic animals would not be able to be found in a pet store or on any importer list. A qualified person would make an apointement and come to your house to check up on the animal every 6 months or so. Now thats the perfect world. No Iguana, RES, Nile, or any other animal would suffer ever again.
