Just picked up my monster tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
72x18x26. BTW, I just ordered (2) 300W Rena Smart heaters that will be put on the intake of both xp3's. I can't wait to set this all up. I also filled the tank last night and put 100lbs of pfs in for my substrate. I got 150 lbs but it looks like 100lbs is more than enough.

I guess I'll just call it good @ 150 then ;) Oh, btw I'll be ordering my xp3's off of drs.fostersmith.com since I just found a link to purchase them at 109.99 a piece, plus I've got a coupon code for $5. All and all I'll be saving roughly $50 if was to have purchased off ebay and $125 if purchased from petsmart :WHOA:

Good call...

Sand has settled, threw on a HOB last night to try and circulate the water a little bit while I'm waiting on the xp3's and heaters. I also added some lights to the top. I'll snap a picture later to update. Tempted to go pick up a black ghost knife tonight, I could just put it in the temporary tank for the time being.

Im sorry to tell you this but that is most certainly a monster tanksir be proud!

Yea, I know I was just excited about the new tank and I thought the comment was sorta rude. Like I said, obviously it's no where near as big or nice as some of the tanks on here but it's a monster compared to my last tanks. Anyways without further adieu, my "LITTLE" monster:

That's for the kind words! I just picked up a baby birchir and black ghost knife. They're both about 2-3 inches and currently in the 55 gallon tank awaiting for the other tank to get set up. I did add dechlorinated treatment to the tank. I should probably drain the water 30% once more before adding the fish? Any other ideas? I'd like to put them in probably next week sometime.
