about an hour ago i was about to turn off my light when i noticed my bulb was a 150 watt incandesent , went to my closet and got an compact flouresent 11 watt light bulb and switched it out

its a good start no?

Just an observation...
The compact flourescent you just installed takes 10 times the energy to produce as a regular incandescent does to manufacture....
And what will you do with it when it quits working?
It contains lead and mercury.... can't drop that in the landfill can you?

I wasn't gonna post on here anymore but I just thought of something.If we need to conserve energy, should we all limit ourselves to 1 10g tank w/UGF's?After all, it takes the burning of hydrocarbons to produce electricity in most cases.Maybe we should all be PFK(punyfishkeepers).

I've been thinking that all along.....here we (some) are preaching about our carbon stamp while turning several thousand gallons per hour in our tanks....... I guess if you switch to a CF light then it makes it ok.

I tested my carbon stamp, I'm way above average. I will take some steps to reduce that though.
