There are enough fish in my canal to lose a few broods

Alright, update. My canal is teeming with breeding pairs of midas cichlids and peacock bass. I was able to hook a pbass twice, and a midas once, but all three times broke my 15lb test line. What do you suggest for these fish, cause they are big! The pbass were both over 1ft, and the midas close to it.

Make sure you use line that is not frayed and lighten up on the drag, I was using 12lb test. Also a soft bodied loure that looks like a blue gill or shad will work very well for P-bass, as will most fish shaped lures, dive them through the fry cloud and they strike defensively, not out of hunger.

hadn't thought of that, thanks

Get pics if you catch anything :D

way not just catch some fry and grow them out .
kinda cruel to kill a hole group of fish just for your own gain

CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE, CAUGHT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
