ya i kinda will orelse i cant add anymore fish :( but seriously i didnt make this thread to start a fight i will buy a test kit as soon as i come up with the money, but al i really wanna no if what i can do because its not like it been the first time hes hiting the lid hes been doing this since i got him i just wanna no what might cause this and what i can do now to stop it

wait isn't Walmart open, i dont know if they have a fish section near where you live but they do here, i'm pretty sure if they do then they can check for you. (NOTICE: I dont know if they do check there i was just feeding an IDEA)

My rose queen and rd/midas do this all the time. They see the drops sticking to the inside of the glass tops (or a pellet stuck on there) and bang the tops to knock them off. Even my severum does this. It makes sense that after you fed him he calmed down.

I find it hard to believe that you would have that bad water quality to make a fish try to jump out of it!

Burt :)
