Hi everybody on monsterfishkeepers,
This is my first ever post on here so hello.
I'm chuffed to of found a site with so many other passionate fish keepers.
I thought i would start by asking what people would consider as tank mates for koi?
I currently have a 158 gallon indoor tanks which is stocked with the following
6 koi between 3 - 8 inches
2 filament barbs - 2 inches
2 bristlenose albino - plecos 3 inches
2 sailfin plecos - one is around 7 inches the other around 2 inches
1 Sturgeon - 7 inches
1 golden orfe - 3 inches
Please note all of these fish have a pond to go into when they are ready to fly the nest. ( apart from the plecos and barbs )
These fish have lived peacefully in this tank for over a year now and never had an issue.
Im running 2 fx5's with 2 powerheads inside to maximize flow so organic waste does not sit at the bottom
Plus ample oxygen for the sturgeon with 2 air pumps running.
I hope people think the setup is ok and if so,could anybody recommend so unusual tanks mates that may fit in.
Thanks
Billy
