Then what would you classify bands like Lamb of God? You do realize that there is about a million sub genres of metal right? Each one having its own version of what makes them metal. It doesn't make them more metal than any other band. Yes you might not be able to compare Soulja Boy to NWA but they both would be classified under the main genre of Rap. Yes so one band does scream, one band does, one band has a guitar solo, one band doesn't that doesn't make either of them more metal then the other. Solos aren't meant for every song or every band.

Since you seem to be "so smart" please classify Lamb of God.

and ps in no way is this standing up for Lamb of God, I still think they are ****.

American Nu-metal, as I have stated before. Can you read? Same with Godsmack, Flaw, Korn, etc. However, once again, I do not consider Nu-Metal to be metal....at all.

This entire thread is derailing. My question was, how is it if you have a better rating then me because "you are better then me", then why do you die more times then you kill?

I love how everyone gets into these debates about what's metal and what's not metal - or what sub genre each band goes into...

I remember back in the day when it was just all about partying and having a good time, now people treat it like they've got this image to uphold or they're betraying the bands they idolize...honestly who the hell cares.

For some reason, this type of behavior really really gets under my skin.

Don't know why you'd let a persons personality get in the way of your taste for the music they play, but whatever.

I'm not a big fan of anything apart from The Fury Of Our Makers Hand, but I'm old and out of the scene - when I was really into concerts and such Pantera were just coming out with FBD ect...completely different time - then metal died off and this new form of it popped up.

Latest band I've heard, with the exception of the underground obscure death metal out there, that I dig is Demiricous - One isn't all that great, but Two was good stuff.

EDIT: The Cavalera Conspiracy stuff isn't half bad either...nor is the new Testament.

Sigh, what gets under my skin is when someone claims they are a metalhead, b/c they are obsessed with Korn. Look at it this way. Would it annoy you if someone told you they had a huge fish tank, downplaying other people, just going on and on about how they are an awesome fish keeper, and they have a HUUUGE tank....and its a 20 long.

Sigh, does everything have to be a pissing contest? I have never had a 360 before. I just got one. I have never played Halo 3 before. I just got it. I was curious as to how the system worked.

Again its someones opinion. What if they biggest tank they have ever seen was a 20 long? To them, that might be the biggest tank. They also could have the best kept fish and consider themselves an awesome fish keeper. I keep a 55 gallon fish tank. I consider myself a monster fish keeper, not because of the fact that I don't have a huge tank but because of my love for big fish. I used to consider myself a metal head when my favorite bands were Korn and Slipknot, back in like 98-99. Being a metal head isn't not just about the music its also about your attitude.
