Large non nipping fish for goldfish?

I know I got tagged in this one but I dont keep fancy goldfish with anything but inverts or a bristle nose pleco. DO NOT put a common pleco in with them... Unless you want them chewed up.

Flag fish are a florida native and eastern gambusia. I've kept these in low grade commons and koi ponds to no ill effect. I agree with C Chicxulub to be mindful of over stocking and under filtering. Goldfish alone are aquatic pigs as it is.

I have a 20 gallon bog filter in my pond, the pics here are of the old pond, I have a filter sock and my pump is 1050 gph I have a whole bag of filter floss and a whole bag of lava rock in the bog along with some with the umbrella palm plant. I also have a 650 gph power head filter. Please let me know any other filter suggestions you have for me? I want to know how sufficient my filtration is before I add anything further.

Yes, that is actually a malanga root I bought from the supermarket, I couldn't get it to grow in my garden so I tried this method and it seems to work!

Unfortunately I can't help with this. I'm of the belief that goldfish should be in a species only enclosure. I know that lots of people keep them with tank mates but I don't. My goldie's have had very few tank mates over the years and since going into the pond have only shared with other goldfish.

Get a school of redlip shiners , they'll easily be your most colorful fish.
