I know absolutely nothing about bonsai but I would leave it as well it seems to add some balance to the tree.

See that;s thing that has me torn lol. I've been into bonsai about 5-6 yrs now. When you first get into it and start to learn some of the bonsai "rules"...before you know them you know enough to be dangerous. So As this one is now you think "looks good/balanced" as I think/kinda thought. Then when you really get into the "rules" of true bonsai, that left branch is a huge no-no because it competes with the flow of the right lean.

Arug...lol. I find bonsai an ever evolving learning experience. Sometimes I disagree with the "rules" at first, but as I get deeper into it I do understand.

Then I think...wait, didn't I get into this for "fun"? LOL

Great trunk motion on that one, Steve. I'm with you...that left branch throws off the look of the tree.

Got any knowledge on black pines? I've got a nice little one that is going to start getting trained. I missed bud clipping this year, but needle pulling occurs sometime at the start of fall and I'm clueless.

I just got rid of my plants because I'm in the moving process (I'm in Arizona now), but when I'm settled I want to get back into it,I'm thinking boojum trees, painted eucalyptus ,baobab, desert rose and a boatload of cacti

Where are you going to get a baobab from?

Well with this warm weather lately I'm still able to do work on my trees even here in October which is a first :) Removed the left branch from my ***ein Tea tree yesterday, looks much more balanced now in it's slant style above.

My windswept styled bougainvillea has filled in nicely since redoing it back mid summer. Even has some blooms on it right now which again, is a first for this time of the year!
