Tanks less than 30gals the reseal / rebuild isnt worth it IMO. Should spend the time as labor for cash and you will be way ahead.

Wow… you got $50 for the 55g which is considered quite worth but in the end sprung a leak ?I’m rebuilding a 55g
Yea but then I spend 5$ on silicone and a couple weeks to rebuild. I still think it’s more than worth it.Wow… you got $50 for the 55g which is considered quite worth but in the end sprung a leak ?

Yes it’s the right silicone. A guy at the pet store told us what to buy. It’s just a smaller tube and probably going to need another one.Did you buy the correct silicone to bond the glass panes together? The correct silicone to use for bonding the glass panes is ~$18. For that $5 price, it looks like you are using Silicone Sealant to bond the glass panes together. That's risky situation for 55 gallons to end up on the floor of your parent's house.
