I guess you have decided to do a rebuild instead of a reseal.
Razor blades to cut and scrape the old silicone.
For separating the panels if a razor doesn’t do the job I’ve used an old guitar wire and gloves with good results.

If you are not familiar with the process I would recommend you watch some videos on rebuilding / resealing an aquarium.
Be patient.

Exactly. I just got them all separated. Going to be cleaning them inside and see if I can go to my papaws garage to start the rebuild tomorrow

After I get the big noticeable bits if silicone and scraped the small bits that I can see then Is there anything I can use to make sure that all residue gets removed?

Get some acetone. Scrape all the silicone off until all there is is a smudge left on the glass. Dab a rag with the acetone and wipe off the smudgy silicone.

If you're not doing so already, wear some gloves. I've suffered some pretty nasty injuries from sharp edges on glass.
