  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tanks less than 30gals the reseal / rebuild isnt worth it IMO. Should spend the time as labor for cash and you will be way ahead.

Yea but then I spend 5$ on silicone and a couple weeks to rebuild. I still think it’s more than worth it.
Tank, stand and lids, $200.99 new at petco... taking weeks ouch, 55gal is a wash last one I swooped was $30 and is a Marineland black silicone.

Did you buy the correct silicone to bond the glass panes together? The correct silicone to use for bonding the glass panes is ~$18. For that $5 price, it looks like you are using Silicone Sealant to bond the glass panes together. That's risky situation for 55 gallons to end up on the floor of your parent's house.

Yes it’s the right silicone. A guy at the pet store told us what to buy. It’s just a smaller tube and probably going to need another one.

Don’t think you got the right stuff. Those small tubes are for RESEALING, not adhering.

Check back on Rocksor’s post where he explains the difference
