I am amazed at how much I am enjoying my eartheaters. So full of personality and interesting behaviors. The sveni had their first spawn a couple weeks ago. I didn't actually see it, just the behaviors prior to it, but knew that the female was holding a brood in mouth because she wouldn't eat for about 6 days. Lost this one because of my lack of experience with these fish, butStanzzzz7 gave me some good tips for the next spawn.
I’m with ya. No matter how many rays I’ve had over the years, I’ve always had a group from the Geopaginae. Sorry it wasn’t successful but nevertheless, congrats on the spawn! I’ve never worked with sveni before but would like to some day. Miribilis are up next for me.
Mouth brooders are tricky to get a process going but super easy after that. Have a female from this group brooding at the moment as well.
