Little kids keep Monster fish and lizards?

petsmart already has rules that disallow anyone under the age of 18 to purchase live animals

Is it not the parents that are Iresponsible for letting their kids bring whatever they want home? Shouldn't the adults be taking an interest in what their kids are doing and making sure that things are done correctly?

Let me rephrase my statement about when I said "there should be laws about kids buying animals"...

I now want to change what i say to

"There should be laws against kids buying CERTAIN SPECIFIC SPECIES OF ANIMALS".

By that I mean laws should be set on animals like a tegu or arowana... Anything that gets huge... So kids can still buy LOTS of fish just nothing RIDICULOUS!

And if they really want a Arowana then they can still get one with their parents. Seems good to me.

You dont make sense u say why should a parent have to take care of a animal thats what parents do i have 3 kids. You then say your parents wouldnt let you get a animal they didnt want why would they have to want it if they were not taking care of it ? Did you have a job at 8 or did your parents buy the animals and what they needed to survive. Last you are still a kid yourself and you have a big ego that makes u think u are somehow better than other kids. JMO

Im 16 in 1 month but if you consider that a kid then ok... I got a job permit at 15 and 2 months... And IMO anyone who actually has a job and gets income is not really considered a kid...

I disagree on the whole have a job and income not being a kid. Unless you support yourself and are older than 20 your a still a child unless extenuating circumstances. I know plenty of 15-16 olds that have jobs and get money. Still children

No but larger fish are very easily abused but smaller fish do not need huge 500 gallons like a pacu or other larger fish... If you keep guppies in a ten gallon it is fine but if you got a pacu for it it is not...

If they don't pay rent or bills yup. I may live at home but I pay rent,bills,buy my own food and contribute to the household as a whole. There are plenty of grown people I consider kids cause they do nothing with themselves. Age doesn't determine wether you a child or not it's the way you act.

I started breeding fish when I was 10 and I new better than to buy an aro when my largest tank was a 55, now that I have a 120 and a friend with a heated pond who already made an offer for a large aro I got one.
