The numbers AND range of the American Alligator is really growing fast! Heck last summer I saw a dead one that had been hit by a car on I-65 just a few miles south of Birmingham Alabama!
Killing a few large and potentionally VERy dangerous gators is ok in my book. Besides, fried gator tail is yummy and a pair of gato skin boots is down right uber cool!

Seems here in S.Florida thats the answer to every gator phone call -Send someone to kill it.

I lived in Florida for 30 years in the Ft Myers area, I have seen the big gators in the Glades, I have seen them eat hunting dogs. Big gators near people are not productive for people or domesticated animals.

It would be unreal if they didnt eat the hunting dogs. I see nothing wrong nor unusual about that.
I go cichlid fishing in an area where some hunt boar with American Bulldogs . The gator isnt the problem its the person who subjects his dogs to that danger.
They act like the dog has the right away and the big gators should know this.
Considering the amount of scars on these dogs and torn muzzles surprised they care at all.

That would be your assumption, I guess.
You from Florida?
