no way a longnose gar is slashing a raccoon's throat...i'm sorry, but you're generally full of it. the rest is just regurgitated from whatever field guide (online or otherwise) you've been able to get a hold of.

and trust me, polypterus (richard) has forgotten more about gars than you will ever hope to know*--

This is my favorite thread on MFK haha. Gar man, obviously the experts here know more abt keeping gars than u.. what i mean from that is, the water parameters, tank size, feeding etc.. the more technical stuff
am not saying u dont know anything, but u just have a very rough idea, from what u have learnt from ur own experience..

So why not u read some of the threads abt these fish, UPDATE ur knowledge and be more helpful to people??
 
dude...no1s asked me to detail stuff just as rough idea so if someone DOES ask for detailed stuffv i can answer it -_-...

ok..... i have a few things i want to add.

gar man you will never know as much about these fish as richard and solomon. they are very skilled ichthologists who work with these fish as a career. am i right? my advise for you is to just stop and do your RESEARCH and then try to help people when the questions are asked. because it is really annoying when i am reading your posts and it says "any questions about longnose gar". when the answer you give is inaccurate anyway. so please..... take my advise.
