What I've usually seen when the drains are on the bottom is a pipe coming straight up from it. I don't think you want your drains in the middle of the tank. The return holes are probably fine, but I'd personally want the standpipes in the corners. I'd also prefer the returns near the top, but that's not a huge deal.

I'd also consider noise. Some setups are dead quiet while others are quite noisy. Generally speaking, you want to avoid having your drain powered by gravity if you care about noise.

Ok little update here
So after failing at this twice I’m back at it again.
Had a few mishaps and had to cut and re do a few parts here and there I’m no pro plumber so pardon my glue drips I’m happy it hold
Had it cap one of the 4 drains I was tightening down pvc insert and I went to far snapped my bulkhead I really don’t feel
Like pulling it out and waiting for a new one to come so instead in caping it from the inside where it was still salvageable

Gonna test fill and run tomorrow
Any input is appreciated
See anything wrong ????
I know pics can be confusing so bare with me

Jacob, is the drain for the tank where I circled in “Red” below? If so, that is a disaster waiting to happen. You have absolutely no way to fail safe that Incase of power outages. It’s drilled very low as that’s better for a closed loop system with a w/d or sump you’d want the overflow or drains to be close to the water line unless your sump volume is more than your tank.

The red circle are the return lines

The drains are under the tank
They all meet to a stand pipe on the left which is at water level to prevent overflow and power outage

So I did a test fill everything works and will not over flow
However my problem now is I have more return flow than over flow

I have 3 one inch drains
Feeding 4 one inch return

Bottom line I need more over flow
