Just want to be careful with the identifications.justarn , thanks for that. I decided to go to PlanetCatfish and look up the Parauchenoglanis family and found Parauchenoglanis balayi also. I see this one on the Rehoboth list of fish so...
Well the hope is that the vendor has it correctly identified.... but there are no pics so that will be difficult. Also with what info I have found I hope that the cat does stay in the 15” range. Dont even know if I can even afford it, lolJust want to be careful with the identifications.
Vendors often mis-ID rare fish. Because they trust the natives who catch the fish for them.Well the hope is that the vendor has it correctly identified.... but there are no pics so that will be difficult. That really is a good looking cat. If they are slow growing I would need one at least 7-8" to put it in with the bichirs. Have not seen any for sale. Anyone else seen them?Megladoras Iriwni are a good choice. They do get 18-24'' but are slow growers and are gorgeous!

I know there has been talk with the bichirs as to catch locations and what not, with many names given. So I know there could be a possibility of getting who knows what, lol.Vendors often mis-ID rare fish. Because they trust the natives who catch the fish for them.
