Marble Pim Journey ... to their doom?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I might have to come play with your marbles soon Bass,
mine wont eat :(

So, sorry guys. I arrived last THU home and did not go and check on my two survivors. When i went on FRI evening to feed the fish (and get the survivors out of the sump) i found both Pim and Pacu upside down - freshly dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the maid swears that they were still alive and eating on THU morning

The laborors used the plugs in the aquarium to power their tools and then disconnected the pumps that get the water out of the sump. They left only the oxygen pump for the main tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! result is two very dead big fishes - because it is very hot in Vientiane now. So, the suspected are truely dead now - confirmed bodies.

I am sorry guys for getting you all excited

PS: i did not have the heart to photo the dead fishes - but they did grow a little bit. not sure what they were eating for the last four months.

The remaining pim is alive and well. Hmmm catching up with the RTC quick. My pim is like Bass's cost it comes to be handfed quite readily (unlike RTCs). He also eats much faster than the two slow moving RTCs ... i guess the absence of gars did good for him

How come??? mine is a little hyper monster that eats wayyyyyyyyy too much - not shy either

I have no idea. I've tried everything and can't get it to eat. I rescued it out of a 55 cube tank... maybe its uncomfortable with room to actually move! haha
I do really hope he eats soon though... he's getting skinny and really worrying me

I assume you have a place for him to hide ... may be he got used to hiding (though mine never hides). Try market prawn or something smelly - they usually go for that - Good luck (i know the feeling when the fish is not eating)

The tank he came out of and was comfortable in had no cover at all, and I don't really know what I would provide for a 20" Marble to hide in...
I've been trying market prawn, fish fillets, pellets of all kinds, feeder fish, silver sides. And nothing seems to perk his appetite :(
I really hope he starts eating soon
