This situation is not a friendship thing... this is a business thing. If his backup does not support him 100% and only support him 99.9%... that 0.1% can mean his life.

One of my very good friend’s cousin is SFPD. We always played poker on Friday night back in the days and he came over few times to play with us. We asked him what the most dangerous situation he was in was. He told us this story that sounded similar.

There were calls into the police every night about some guy in Sunnydale Projects(a VERY DANGEROUS PROJECT in the city) coming out every night at around 9:30 PM unloading about 30 rounds into the air for the past week. He and 3 other officers, one male and 2 females were walking near the complex that the shots were reported coming from. He told us they heard the shots and as he was running – he was thinking to himself “damn… I might be goner if I turn this corner”. He told us he turns his head around just to see where his backups were… only the male cop was directly behind him… the 2 female cops were no where to be seen. After they did turn the corner the guy had already gone back inside, I forgot if they finally did catch the guy…. he didn’t tell us his opinion about females being cops.

We took his money…. he lost about $1500 playing with us 3 or 4 times and never came back.

she mentioned the guy was only a cop for like 2 years and sounded like they were friends but after that incident, he apologized and she cut him off and said they arent' friends anymore

i was just trying to maybe help her understand that cutting off his friendship just based on that incident may have been a little too harsh. not that i dont' understand where she is coming from, but i know some people who are great friends, but they are wussies. now if i was in a situation where i may have to throw down, i wouldnt' count on them to help me, but that don't mean they are any less of a friend necessarily, that's all. i wouldn't judge someone's friendship too much only based on the size of their cajones, not everyone has that, i can't blame someone for not putting their life on the line for me. but that person that can't do that, should not be a cop, which is what i was saying, it's not for everyone and apparently not for that guy in her story

Did you get a chance to see the video I posted before it was deleted? Same scenario as this I can imagine. Cops gave no order. Bust down the door and fired 3 shots, killing the man holding a golf club about 15ft away. After he was down they gave the order. He couldn't have laid down and put his arms behind his head even if he wanted to.

I'll pm you the link if you want to see it.

I don't know what the point is even. I get a fingernail/ chalkboard reaction from even watching those "cops" shows that have become SO POPULAR.

Somebody in this post I think said something about real cops being POS and we need more good TV type cops.

Damn near every episode of every cop show portrays an officer that BLATANTLY lies to the suspect.

Pig: Show me where the dope is and I won't arrest you!
Suspect: OK, here is my baggie!
Pig: On the ground maggot, You are under arrest. You have the right. . . (NOT!)

They literally shot and asked questions later. The way the guy was standing was a defense stance and he was not even given chance to surrender.

yea, that's crappy dude, if he was really 15 feet away there'd be no need to fire

Was, or wasn't given a chance to surrender?

I agree with what you are saying... ALOT of people nowadays are becoming cops and joining the military only for the benefits.

Why don't we get the same reactions when a criminal kills a police officer trying to do his job......

I think we would get a similar reaction if a story like that was posted up. I'm sure someone could dig up a thread.

Can someone show me the golf club video link?
