i think i will do some tank swapping and move 2 of my 13" oscars to my 40 breeder just to show everyone that they can be housed happily in smaller enclosures.
small??? who wants small??

this is MFK... get a 500 gallon for your 2 oscars:D.

lmfao i have a 1200 that there in now, thats not the point. i also never said anyone should do daily 100% water changes. the point i was making was that if you are constricted on size of tank you can still keep larger fish in it so long as you are willing to do the extra work keeping the water params in check.

was just being a JA. not refering to you at all:D...
but i say everyone should do daily 100% WC's. nothing wrong with it:D.

except your water bill when you have a 1200 lmfaooooooooooooo.

i was actually thinking about the costs vs. benefits of digging a well and switching off of city water. or just digging a well for my water changes.

thats a good idea... i was going to sit a 55g drum up and use it to dechlorinate it with out chemicals. but i changed my mind and just use my empty 29g. 29g a day WC on a 120. i siphon after each feeding too which takes alot off the filters having to suck it up.

i have a $6k water filtration system that includes a chlorine filter. the only piece to the puzzle that i dont have is a RO filter, but it's next.
