theres no other avenged sevenfold fans? any hellyeah fans?

Sorry Neonmadness this is one band we do not get along on. I really don't like Avenged Sevenfold at all. After what they did to Pantera's Walk I was extremely pissed about that. It just made ozzfests mainstage suck last year. They ruined the song. Anyone like Trivium?

I like older A7X. Hellyeah is good because it has Tom Maxwell from Nothingface on guitars. Other than that I think they lyrics are just bad and Chad from Mudvayne cannot be in another band without making me think that its just a bad Mudvayne song. Which basically most new Mudvayne songs are just bad. LD 50 is probably their best cd.

Trivium won me over when they opened for In Flames and did an amazing Pantera medley w/ Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills/Walk and one other song that I can't remember @ the moment. One of the best Pantera covers I've heard. The best tribute to Pantera I've heard though would have to be In Flames doing Hostile. Almost faster than the original :headbang2

i'm not huge on their walk cover, but it was a tribute to dime and i give em credit for trying. and besides, noone can match pantera when it comes to walk. and their vocalist isn't great, but i still love their music, especially waking the fallen.

Only A7X album I reall enjoy is City of Evil. Although Chapter Four off of Waking the Fallen is an awesome song. Wouldn't mind checking out there DVD that came out last month.

Pain of Salvation
Dream Theater
Necrophagist
The Faceless
Chimera
Mastodon
Meshuggah
Dragged Below

neonmadness, Avenged lives down the street from me, Mshadows at least. They all record at the house they started in, their garage is a studio, and Mshadows doesn't know jack **** about mixing, but he thinks he does... lol

You know their Waking the Fallen album cover ? With the little angel statue thingy on the cover. Thats just a cheesy fountain thing thats right outside their house, I think it was their parents house and that had always been there. I met them a few times, one of my friends is good friends with their sister.

How the hell did I forget about the Faceless?!? Great list Rakie. I really should've remembered the Faceless though since me and my friends are working on a cover of An Autopsy...SEVER THE SKULLLLLLLLLLLL his mind lies in peace....FREEEEEEEEEEEEE from the torment of existence. badass song

Im from LA, so i see them all the time, lol. They're great live. I think most of them went to MI or some other type of training. They way they play together can't be learned in a garage, also i was talking about jazz with one of them a bit, I think most of them have some training in jazz.

One thing i've learned in all my years of playing. If you can play jazz, you can play anything.

Go college educated musicians go !! lol
