awww of course i will boys :) thanks for all your help!

why would we want to feed them live? mine did excellent on pellets and shrimp..

excuse my ignorance if I'm wrong, I guess tropheus and phull would know a bit about this subject and they didn't protest but I can't see the need for live fish?

As ettfettbranhamn mentioned, I personally don't like to feed live fish food... but that's just me. If anything, I'll feed frozen/thawed white baitfish fillets to my fish.

To each their own preference, it's all up to you... as long as you quarantine and gut load your feeders, it should be fine. GL! :)

well each to his own. i like giving my fish feeders because in the wild thats how they would naturally get their food anyway. i breed my own feeders and i enjoy watching them hunt down their food because i only have predators in my tanks. i only use pellets as a staple. IMO predator fish SHOULD hunt for their own food its only natural. this is how i feed my fish and i absolutely love it :D

hi guys , yep i belive it is totally down to personal preferance , as long as the feeders are healthy and kept in good conditions prior to being fed , which reading through the responces iam sure is the case here .
i really only have a problem with feeders when low quality desiesed fish are used ect , neervana breeds her own i gather so elimanates this. the other problem i have with feeders and snakeheads is when fed to fish such as gachua who in the wild only eat a very low amount of fish and instead eat crustations ect . there is not this problem with micros as 95%+ of there diet is fish, and when people feed feeders that are far too big for the fish to eat (this can and does often cause choking to death in channa)

i never use them , as i allways use frozen for ease and cost , plus i am just not a fan of useing feeders ,however i respect the choice of anyone who wishes to use them and dont see a problem if there healthy and have been fed a good diet. i can totally understand to arguments both for and against.

its quite important when useing feeders to gut load them with quality food / pellets , to give them extra nutriants as a compleate diet for micros would also include whole mamals and birds with the odd crustation thrown in ( you certainly do not want to be feeding mammals and birds in an aquarium )

cheers col

Well said, Col. :iagree:100%.

I feed my Micro with feeder guppies. I think it is good, i catch my guppies first then place them in a container where i keep them and feed them like pigs. I make sure that this container is well aerated, water is conditioned properly, veggies are tossed in every now and then and water change is at 20% every other day. :D

Breeding guppies is easy in tropical climates. Especially in ponds. :P
