Dwarf pikes cichlids maybe an option but not sure about aggression toward African tankmates.

Big Red congo tetras. Ropefish. Nandus nandus , African leaf fish, and Climbing perch if not too big.

Boesemani rainbows could go with an african fish right? And do all of the suggested fish take pellet?

It can go with some of the fish mentioned. The Polypterus can eat them if small enough. But if bigger than the width of the mouth then should be fine. Flakes and pellets.

Rainbows and Congo tetras will be good with flakes. The other fish mentioned will need a mix of pellets.

Try a Senegalus. That's the smallest you can get.

Bucktooth tetra! Cute little schooling fish with the heart of a piranha! You would need to buy 6 or more of them and they DO eat flakes and other prepared foods. Don't let anyone tell you they eat live foods only. My LFS has some in stock and a goldfish jumped ship into the wrong tank. I think my daughter is scarred a little. Didn't understand how a 3 inch fish could disappear so quickly!

Yes. Only safe fish are usually armored catfish.
