Barnett and Mir should've maybe gone longer but either way I don't think it would've lasted 30 more seconds. Pettis is awesome. Glad to see him holding the belt.

That's pretty much my take on the Mir stoppage. It was a bit premature, but things weren't going to get better for him.
Yep, Pettis is the man. Lots of tough fights for him still at LW. He called out Aldo, and I would love to see that fight still, but I believe Dana said that they won't do champ vs champ fights because the champs only defend twice a year and it would slow down the divisions.
People still don't know who TJ Grant is, but he's looked great lately and was in line for the title shot. I wonder if he'll be Pettis' first defense.

pettis may have an injured knee. they still gotta check it out to see if it's serious

I still think mir should've gotten the chance to recover. especially because right after the ref jumped in mir popped right up. It may or may not change the outcome, but we've seen many times where you think someone is done and they end up surviving and even coming back to win. for example, Frankie vs maynard. I thought he was done. kongo vs pat barry. heck, even mir vs big nog. i'm just saying, you never know what someone is capable of and you gotta give them that extra 2 or 3 seconds.

i'm kind of ok with the stoppage too, but more leaning towards it being a bit premature
 
I didn't get to see the action but I'm surprised and a little disappointed that Bendo lost.He seemed to be on such a roll up til last night...I guess Pettis has his number.
 
I heard Rothwell was on trt too. I hope they come back clean especially Barnett. It would be nice to see him have a clean win.
 
The most disappointing thing was no ground action from Barnett. Didn't get to watch it live but just watched it on icefilms. Lost whatever respect I had for Benson. Still not big on Pettis.

Why did you lose respect for Bendo? He still went out there and fought, just got caught in a sub.
Ya, I wish we could have seen some grappling in the Barnett fight, but still an impressive win.
 
I was wondering about that comment about Bendo as well...
 
I didn't think he should have tapped. Seemed like he gave up too quickly and there wasn't much time left in the round. He came out to a religious song and I thought that Jesus didn't tap as those shirts say lol.
