the length of bendo's road back into a title shot is contingent on how long pettis' reign lasts. the longer pettis is champ, the longer bendo has to climb the ladder. no one wants to see him fight pettis after going 0-2 against him in two title fights. if someone takes the title from pettis, ben only needs 2-3 devastating wins against any top 5 not named pettis imo
about askren, I really really hope he comes over to the ufc. I didn't like him at all until recently. I see this guy has started playing the heel and embracing it. I think that, along with his dominating wrestling skills can be a combination for some great build ups to fights. only thing I am not sure of is how good his wrestling really is once he faces better competition. guys who has good striking and great take down defense. I wanna see how ben reacts when he can't force the fight to the ground
unless i'm wrong about bellator's contracts, you either wait out a year for the matching clause to expire or you risk getting an offer matched and you legally have to go back to bellator. eddie should've taken that route and sat out for a year, he'd be in the ufc now. but instead, he chose to go forward and bellator exercised their right to match and eventually got eddie back to bellator where eddie clearly does not want to be.
