I was also waiting for an explanation on the bendo comment

and no offense but I gotta say, i'm a bit surprised by how childish you sound. why do people always feel the need to bash a fighter who is a Christian? does being a Christian give you some kind of a higher pain tolerance so you don't tap or something? should he have come out to a song about pimping b****** and clocking hoes? I don't get it....

also thought you'd be more educated in the submission being that you seem more than a casual fan. it's easy for us to sit there and watch it and criticize the guy who's arm is being torqued in the wrong direction and say he could've or should've held out longer. his arm popped twice and he verbally tapped. in the 1 or 2 seconds before Anthony let go, you can clearly see ben was fighting it and trying to defend it until he absolutely couldn't and had to give in or risk an unnecessary injury. heck, the guy couldn't even lift his arm to slip his arm into his shirt afterwards. and at the post fight press conference he still couldn't wear his shirt correctly.

nothing wrong with knowing the other guy got you and submitting doesn't make you any less of a man. I think it's more stupid for people with too much pride who'd sooner let their bone break before submitting. yea, letting your bone snap and being out for at least 6 months before you can even start training again or possibly risking a career ending injury is very manly.

Titan Fighting Championships 26 last Friday had some of the most horrendous reffing ever

an accidental groin shot gets 1 point deducted. ref didn't even see it and went solely on the fighter's reaction.

same ref, different fight, stops time with like a second left due to a single weak glancing punch to the back of someone's head. was clearly unintentional, not a solid shot at all. warns the guy and says he'll take a point away if it happens again

but worse ref ever is this guy:

the guy on the bottom gets ko'd, the fighter on top stops and looks at the ref. ref stares at ko'd fighter and does nothing. ko'd fighter starts to come to and other fighter is forced to punch and ko the guy again. the guy on top gets up and walks away because the round ends and ref waves the fighters to get up and go to their corners still not realizing the guy on the floor is in lala land. still doesn't call the fight off until a cage side doctor or corner waves it off. someone please tell me what in the flying EFF is this ref looking at????? I so wish this happened in the ufc because joe rogan would've put that ref on blast

for minutes after the ko'd guy gets up, he is still wobbly on his feet and almost falls over. absolute crap ref. that guy should never be anywhere near a freaking fight again

It's just my opinion, man. The angle I saw wasn't very good anyway. I didn't see it pop. I'm a Christian, too, so you obviously don't know where I'm coming from. The Gracies didn't submit to Saku and they weren't injured for life. I've seen plenty of people not submit to an armbar and be fine. It's a long way back to the top now. I didn't say anything about it being manly. I'm from the Barnett old school when it comes to watching MMA. "Every time the ref comes back and gives me these little instructions, I always go, 'Don’t stop it. I don’t care. Let me die.’" Now I know that's a bit tongue-in-cheek, but nonetheless. At least he wasn't wearing one of those jesus didn't tap shirts.

I can imagine how that guy's corner men must have been reacting to that hack ref.

I still don't understand the reason for bringing up the walkout song and jesus didn't tap comment. but maybe you weren't serious. unlike 99% of the people who says similar things about a fighter thanking God after a fight win or lose. and because you're a Christian makes your comment more confusing

btw, there was about 30 secs left in the round, I don't see how he can hold out for half a minute. they're both fresh and not sweaty, I really doubt he could've gotten out of that. we didn't hear it pop, but Anthony said in the post fight interview that it popped twice before ben verbally submitted.

i'm also from the Barnett old school, but did you know Barnett has submitted before too? but either way, it's fine that you think he should've have "given" up so easily. but I don't see how you can lose all respect for him because of that. you love chael if i'm not mistaken. dude has tapped to everybody, lol

I was joking about the walkout song. That's fine if he wants to walk out to that song, I just found it a little ironic or something, whatever. I'm not going to get into my whole philosophical/theological background. And I never said i lost all respect for him, just some. I thought he was better at defending submissions than that. And like I said, I didn't know all the variables as I only saw it from one angle. I like Chael because I think he's funny and he almost beat Anderson. He's a crap-talker that doesn't back it up half the time, but I enjoy his commentaries anyway and him almost beating the most arrogant, showboating S.O.B. was great...until he tapped lol. I think he had less reason to tap than Benson, but he sucks at defending subs. Sounds like he is going to have a long road if he wants to fight for the title again, which I don't totally understand.

The most disappointing thing was no ground action from Barnett. Didn't get to watch it live but just watched it on icefilms. Lost whatever respect I had for Benson. Still not big on Pettis.

I wonder what Askren is going to do. I would like to see him move on to a different promotion to fight better fighters and see how he does. I think he can only go so far with his style, but it intrigues me to see how far that is. I know most people hate his style, but I love watching his fights. His wrestling is unbelievable.

you got me on that one. That's not what I really meant, but my inhibitions were lowered at the time, lol.

Alright guys...I've seen two comments made now about Bendo having a long road back to the top...what's up with that?
