Cardio is one thing, but he also has no stand-up skills what-so-ever.

I'm happy for Jacare too, although it would be nice to see a BJJ expert like him, get some high profile sub wins, to maybe bring back some of the excitment to the ground game (overall).

Yeah, you could almost immediately notice that he does not know how to throw a punch. He would be a beast if he knew how to fight.

i can't say bobby can or can't punch standing. I haven't seen all his fights, but the couple that I've seen, he's never tried to strike standing. He's always immediately gone for the takedown.

if he can throw a punch, he sure doesn't seem confident since he never seems willing to

good question, I dont' know the answer for sure tho,........... I think any mma event taking place on US soil has to be sanctioned by an athletic commision and abide by it's rules. same with boxing and kickboxing and things like that.

and about kj, he said the knee was meant for the body. some say it missed jorge's head but i'll rewatch it
I did'nt think that boxing rules were recognized on those grounds because I have seen some pretty suspect fights take place.I'm talking palookas who would never get a license or be allowed to step in a ring in Nevada or New Jersey.....I always wondered how that word would be spelled..breassis,ha ha......Even with the replay I thought that KJ kicked the guy in the head and we were arguing about for well after the match.

they probably weren't sanctioned and may be illegal. i'm sure there are a lot of small shows that cut corners and don't follow all the rules but legally they are supposed to. that's why i like combat sports in the US, we don't play around with that. if there is anybody who doesn't pass a physical or have a history of concussions/trauma,......... they won't get approved to fight.

it looked like KJ landed the knee to the head to me too.

They are going to air the big UFC show this weekend at my favorite movie theater.I'm not really into bars so this might be a good move for me.

Same here,I don't want to pay that price either..I went to see Pirahna yesterday and I saw the big cut out promo off to the side but no one could seem to give me price info.I don't remember the name of the theater but it is one of those mall mega plexes so if there is one near you, you could check it out.

Bellator, Deep, Shooto, KOTC and UFC this weekend starting tonight...

anyone doing a thing for UFC 118?
