heard Kenny Florian and Tyson Griffen are dropping down to 145

Jose Aldo vs Kenny would be a great fight

the only thing is, Kenny is already skelator at 155, don't know how much that would affect him to drop 10 more pounds. for Tyson it should be no problem, he is still flabby at 55

What in the world is up with the early Shogun v Jones odds?

Jones is -150 to -190 and Shogun +140 to +180 depending on the site. I am a fan of Jones, but this is a crazy. He has never fought this level of competition and never had his chin tested. Shogun is a different kind of beast than Vera or Bader. I believe Jones has a shot, but by no means is he the favorite.

And what is up with Rampage? He turned down a title shot AGAIN. Since Forrest beat him, he has turned at least two fights for the belt.

so the great Last Emperor has suffered another loss

i'm ok if he retires. he has shown signs of slowing in the last few years so this was inevitable

i'm just bummed he may never get to rematch werdum or fight overeem

hope they setup a fight with him and the loser of werdum/overeem. that would be a great last fight for him

now with fedor out, i want overeem to win the tourny

dana has stated that he wants overeem. that would be awesome

The 10 year streak was amazing, and I'm not sure there will ever be another one with the strength and quality that Fedor had. He fought a lot of amazing fights, and always came out on top. But losing to Bigfoot isn't the same as losing to Werdum. Getting dominated by Silva isn't the same as getting caught in an arm bar by Werdum. I saw the slowness creeping in over the last few years as well.

I think Overeem would destroy a lot of the competition in the UFC. I would be excited to see it happen, but I'm not sure it will. He can't go 6 or 8 months without fighting. I think he would happily take a bit less money to be able to fight in different organizations on the regular.

As I was watching the Fedor fight, I was thinking Overeem would have easily knocked either one out. It's a very sad time for me and it was a terrible way for the fight to end. His composure is still amazing and it showed w/ the arm triangle choke. I'm not saying he would have figured it out and stopped Silva in the last round, but that's what he does. I was so disappointed. I'm hoping it's Barnett & Overeem in the finals and Barnett takes it. I don't think Alistair is that interested in fighting in the States. Why would he? Only reason I can think of is that he wants to beat the best and prove the UFC hypers wrong.

Here's my take on Overeem,.............. the guy has wilted in the past against top competition. In mma, he has not yet faced a true top hw contender. I've been a fan of his since the pride days, win or lose, but I won't jump on the hype train until he's faced a true top contender at hw which is why he isn't considered being ranked that high in the top 10. He's lost to Karitonof and werdum in the past. He beat Karitonof but it was due to an injury Karitonof sustained in the fight. But in their second meeting, he was tko'd.

He's got all the tools to beat the top competition in SF and UFC, but that we don't really know if he can do it. I'm rooting for him though

I used to be a Barnett fan, still am kind of, but his testing positive 3 times in the past really turns me off about him. especially after his last one when he was supposed to fight Fedor

i'm expecting Barnett to beat Rogers and will be really excited to see Barnett vs Karitonof

I think I cause Fedor to lose, the only 2 of his fights I've watched live he has lost. Man is a living legend, and a beast. His face was really messed up, it was a good stop, but he was ready to keep going.
