Here is a carp story.
Here in DE we have A LOT of small ponds. My brother in law and I were bass fishing out of my 9' pond prowler. Just using rubber worms on a hook with no weight. I throw my worm into some lillie pads and worked it out. It gets to the edge and the line starts taking off. I wait till it gets tight and I set the hook. The fight is on and it starts pulling the boat around the pond. Now I do not have a big rod and heavy line so Im fighting this fish and its pulling us around the pond. I couldnt even tell what it was till I got it close to the boat which took about 10 min. It turned out to be a grass carp a little over 4' and had to weigh over 20lbs. Come to find out when I pulled the worm out of the lillies it landed on his nose and when I set the hook it buried really deep. What sucks is I didnt have a camera with me, so just a story. I now keep a disposable in my tacklebox and I now have a camera phone.
