if that was me (god forbid) the water and home damage would be the least of my worries. My significant other with a butcher knife would be the first thing going threw my mind. I would have bought her and her girlfriend tickets to aruba and gave it to her at work. Took her straight to airport and then hopefully have Extreme Makeover Home Edition come to my house and fix the place in a week. This way when she gets back my house is brand new, I have a new tank, she thinks I mad her a surprise and then more than likely I'll get laid LOL

You are a Genius!

damn, that sux, big time. That must have been one awkward conversation with the insurance company.

Just saw this for the first time....not a pleasant read.

Ditto, this is why my tanks are in a concrete floored basement, arranged in a "U" shape around a floor drain. I had a 135 blow and there was virtually no mess.

Wow! The 450 I've been eying does not look appealing anymore!
Awhile back someone asked why we have such beautiful big tanks in the garage and our hidden fishroom, our significant other and this.... Sorry to see this bro, such a nice setup!

terrible disaster, but great job on the remodel.

in the pic of the acrylic front piece against the wall, is the corner busted off, or did it penetrate into the wall? i can't tell.

either way, glad everyone is alright and most of the fish were saved. sounds like the tank you now have is of much better construction/quality.

i agree, the hard wood looks spectacular.
