most expensive fish you would be willing to purchase

Right now I'm trying to not spend money on fish so I can get more and bigger tanks. Then I'll really start to spend money on fish. The most Ive paid for a fish was $60. Everything else was under $35.

When I do get the tanks, I am definately going to get a Tigrinus, Rays, and a Black Aro. Hopefully all of this will occur in the next 10 years, but first ive got to fiish school and get a real job :eek:

I want to know what you spent a G on too!
 
I would be willing to spend 1000 on a fish if I really wanted it. Of course if I was rich that number would be higher.

So far my highest purchase was $160
 
How much I'm willing to spend = how much I have on hand

Would probably go up to $300 before I started to cringe but it would have to be a really, really, awsome fish at that. I think of a $50 fish as expensive, atleast for me.
Last time I dropped that much was on a chinese hi-fin loach.
 
I am now saving to buy my most expencive fish till now. A RTG arowana. Takes a while till I have the money, but I think it will be worth is.

I think my max depends on the total amount of money I can spend. Like if I am a millionair, I would probably spend €100.000 or more on fish.
 
if i had a suitable tank and a couple grand to blow i would probably invest in a Blue Zaire front harem.

There has been a huge male for sale here forever at $600 CDN.
 
i think i would spend somwhere in the $200 range. then again im far from rich, and if money were no object i would definatly spend ALOT more, look how much people spend on dogs and other exotic pets. my fish are just as important to me as anybodys dog or cat is to them
