also,,,,,,,,,you want to try vitamin B1 & B12 tablets (dry pills, not gell or gell coated you can but at any phamacy) in your filter.
As the Vitamins desolve they add to the water what the ray maybe missing and B12 will usually kick-start hunger and feeding

I've never heard that one. May be worth a shot.

Is this safe? How many pills of each should i disolve?

I use 500mg of each per 100gal
1000mg if I feel there is a problem.

I started this after my birthing female went on a hunger strike after her 3rd litter. She didn't eat for days & days and got a dent in her forehead, the day after I did a water change & added the B1 & B12 she pounded shrimp and crawlers-----3 months later she is fine and healthy, chowing as much as ever.

Let us know how it goes! Good luck!

SO i added the vitamins and it made my tank super orange. Doesn't seem like he is trying to eat. The live bloodworm and red wigglers get under him but he just doesn't eat them

Also it seem like he is shedding or something. Slim coat is floating from his base. Should i be concern with that? Anything will help thanks

add some salt.... go with 1 or 2lbs per 100 gallons....

Alright i will get some salt later on. Do you know what the slime coat off the base is from the stingray?

anytime you see slimecoat shedding do a water change right away.
(you may want to take a water sample 1st, then test it after or during the water change------test for ammonia, nitrates, nitrites and pH using drop test kits, strip test aren't as accurate).
Then add your salt.

IMO, anytime a ray seems not right, I do as listed above------always waterchanges 1st. and it's always worked for me.
