The ray should be fine, just do more frequent water changes until your filter can catch up with the Bio-load from the new ray.
And keep checking you water for pH crashes and ammonia spikes until you are 100% positive the water is stable.
You may also want to test your tap water, remember lots of places (public water) add more chlorine during winter months and spring thaw

Better to melt the salt in water then add it to your tank.

We all learn sometime, main thing is asking the right questions and being honest with the infomation you provide so we can help you and you've done that.
Glad he's doing well now. As long as he's eating, he should be fine.
Now welcome to the addiction![]()

First foods to try in order
1. Ghost shrimp,,,,,,,,,young rays can't resist them but expencive to feed.
2. Blackworms (live),,,most importers use this for rays brought in and it rebounds a stress ray.
3. Earth worms,,,,,,,,,cut small enough to fit in the ray's mouth.
4. Raw market shrimp, once the ray is established and eating this usually becomes the most common staple diet for ray owners.
If the ray won't eat the first two I listed you may want to treat it's tank with Prazi-Pro for internal parasites.------Best of Luck!
vtnamezeboi;2526059; said:I bought some ghost shrimp but i had 2 pbass in the tank so im not sure if he eats them or if the pbass ate em. I tried live bloodworms still not luck. Should i try blackworms? Im sure if he wont eat the bloodworms he wont eat the black worms? I have already treated teh tank with Prazi-Pro a day or two ago.
