Live blackworms are usually the first recommended food, I would give it a shot.

keep water fresh... small waterchanges every other day... until he gets comfortable.
 
Alright. I just realize that he is only breathing through on gill and his other one is just closed. Any idea whats wrong with him?
 
tank wraped in towels, added smallest amount of salt at a time, temp up a knotch, sorted my ray out in about 48 hours. You really gotta be patient.. which i know isnt easy when u got a new exciting addition to your tank..

and the one gill thing.. that can not be good.... is he breathing really heavy? how does his breathing compare to the other ray?
