Yes it will,

There's no way to change it from this state without breaking it. Think of it like clay; once it hardens that's its shape forever.

(But it could brake so just don't drop or smash it :ROFL:)
(I wouldn't advise wetting it either)
 
i put a little tetra in baking soda today, ill post pix and let you know how it goes

Pretty neat technique. I am going to have to do this to my wife one day.
 
ok well i did it for about 5 days and then today i couldnt wait any longer, i had to take a look, and it was done!
i am pretty sure it is because the tetra was about 1" long and im sure a bigger fish would have taken longer.

i gotta say i get the same results of the crawfish just climbing out and being found a few days later
