Thats a Chapman stick, you play it by two hand tapping, there is no picking or plucking. Only tapping with all 8 fingers.

He's just keeping time with his foot.

You would like this guy, Andy McKee. http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4

I actually really like Zakk, he has his own sound and thats one of the things I go for most... After years of playing I see people all around that can play, but don't have their own sound, They work on speed and technique, which isnt bad, but it doesn't lead to that sound that makes heads turn.

I was giving bass lessons to a friend of mine, and teaching him all he wanted to learn from me specifically, and how I played. Mostly right hand techniques, and I taught him. Slowly he's complaining he cant remember it so I go back and he sounds the same. The way he mutes, and the way he plays with his right hand leaves a lot to be desired tone wise, he just has nasty habits and keeps going back to them.

I think thats why all guitarists that label themselves as "Neo classical" turn me off, pretty much they all sound the same, not only one musician to another, but one CD to another, one song to another.

But of course thats all personal, what they do isn't easy by any means for most musicians, its just not my style ;p

Mick Thompson and Jim from slipknot. They are seriously good guitarists. Oh and my guitar teacher, Jeremy, bless his sole, One of the best I have ever seen. I think there is lots of undiscovered expert guitar players.
