My 1200g indoor pond build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you get a big enough stock tank, a bio-tower will fit.:D

Heck, just about any thing will be able to be housed in the sump away from the kitty(s).

Looking good, nice work.

Explain again you thinking for filtration now, i got confused:confused:

yeah i confused myself for a minute but here is what i ended up doing, hope it works

i got a 60g stock tank with two 2" drains being fed by 1.5" with a 3700gph pump which im sure is over rated plus about 4' of head and a few 90s i hope it works out, i put in a ball valve just in case

been working on the plumbing most of the day and im almost done, progress is slow working by myself and having broncitis and a ear infection but i just cant stand sitting on the couch with out having all this running so i will have pics up soon

Whats the total cost so far for that build? Looks good.

i quit counting at $550 and sence then ive got the plumbing and bio media so id say around $650

OK so the plumbing is complete and the filter is running with just bonded filter pad until the bio media gets here tomorrow, ordered 4cu.f. of filter foam, cost $62 shipped

let me know what you think of my design, i just did what i thought would work, i havent checked many threads on filtering so this is pretty much just what was in my head

Two 2" drains, one from the front and one from the back

Did a spray bar of sorts instead of a drip tray, not sure if one is better then the other but it should get the job done

Topping off with my R/O supply line, eventually going to plumb in a dedicated line with a ball valve for top offs, also have my xp4 running

what i have right now is three oscars and a rtc, also have three 18"+ pacus at the LFS waiting to come to a proper home and adopting a TSN:D

i cant wait to get everybody in
