My 22inch widebar dat

I think the word cruel is a bit much here, but that's your opinion and i respect it bud
I've seen many pics of tanks much bigger than mine (600gal plus) that are loaded with multiple aros and dats which have badly split caudel fins. And yes, they have much more up and down room. Is that cruel as well? Isn't is cruel that the alpha dat in most cases gets a much higher % of the food which leaves everyother dat a bit stunted over time?

Once again, thanx a whole bunch to the members for the nice comments on last couple pages!!

you stated it yourself packed with multiplical tigers and aros you said your loan fish would have split fins if it was stressed the tanks you mentioned have more than 1 of the same type of fish of couse they will have split fins if you added another tiger the same size chances are one will get split fins

you stated this tiger has been kept in that tank for 6 years and this is the first time you have posted pics well take it from someone who is see the tank for the first time its to shallow
you have been watching the fish grow in the same tank for 6 years its no wonder you havent seen it running out of space as a tank that was once massive is not anymore

even if you talk back to front its only 30 wide which maybe fine for a aro that can bend its self in half but not for a 22inch tiger that doesnt have no more than 6 inch to lift its head up to turn in if it needs it

ST are getting very hard to find now and if you cant see that a fish with as much mass as yours doesnt need a tank up grade thats up to you your fish its up to you what you think is right

before i moved my ST to its new tank it was 20inch and in a 84 long x 32 wide x 28 deep and trust me it was getting to the point of selling or upgrading i upgraded i think you need to do the same 36 wide 30 tall you owe it to a fish you have had for 6 years or would you keep a dog in a small pen it need to streach its legs or fins

i have had my 24inch + ST for over 8 years now so need to provide it with the best tank i can not just what will just about do

look in asia all ST of this size are mostly in ponds now not puddles

I think the OP has gotten enough of YOUR OPINION. Would you please just let it go now? You're ruining this great thread.

I keep my flowernhorn and tig in a 20 gal tank and I plan on keeping them in there for the rest of their life. easy peasy. no problems so far. I must be pro.

lol let it go man. the man is doing a great job raising that ST im sure he knows what hes doing and whats best for his fish. not everyone have room and money for a pond.

by the way i saw your 1000 gallon community tank. the rays look like they dont have much space on the bottom. i think you should upgrade to a pond. cuz you know, they come from lakes. you need to upgrade to atleast a 10 foot wide width for them. see what i did there?

My rays have 3ft to move arond in back to front which is a lot compared
to 8inch and a fish that can't bend

My ST HAS 4ft front to back

My tank glass is 19mm which makes the tank look smaller front to back so your point is

8inch is nothing as I know myself after having a 22inch ST in a 32wide tank so unless you have had a tiger in this size tank it's hard to see how little space it had
My ST also was kept for 6 years in a tank this width and 28 deep that's how I know it's time for a upgrade

It's not something I'm saying for no reason but from experience So unless any of you have had a 22inch tiger in a tank near to this dimensions I don't think you are in a position to comment
