Alright, so we finally have somewhat of a tree. This is not the final look of it, I will be doing more finalizing on the details to get it right. Basically all we did was put the tubes on each end, then looked at the size of the crack to fill on each side and slid the longest pieces we had behind them and they turned out to look like imperfections in the tree, which all trees have naturally anyway. I still want to do more work on quite a few things, and nothing that is in the tank now is "mounted" by silicone, zip ties, or anything. So everything that has been done can be changed, but I like the progress so far and I think a few more days being spent inside the tank and I can have a legitimate tree!

Pic 1-everyone has kid in tank pics, well i don't have a kid so my friends dog should do just fine lol
Pic 2- wood soaking in the tub, I was pouring boiling water over it so it didn't take long for the water to turn brown
Pic 3- on of the tubes goes on the end
Pic 4- 2nd tube on and close up of the crack to fill
Pic 5 & 6- pieces slid behind the two tubes to fill the crack, one has more light than the other because I was hoping the camera would show the way the texture of the wood creates shadows, didnt turn out the way i wanted but i think you get the idea
Last pic-my biggest problem right now, view from one of the ends of the tank, one of the tubes has a couple spots that make one side poke out and won't allow much swimming room for the fish BIG PROBLEM!
So like I said nothing is finalized and I plan on doing some more on it but I can already picture it with sand around the bottom a few plants and my silver arowana swimming around the top, Could pass for the flood basin of the amazon to me!
Please post your feedback and sorry for the huge post
